Note:  The University of Dayton requires that first and second year students reside in University housing. 
 
Living in privately owned housing comes with a tremendous amount of responsibilty. Should you choose a privately owned dwelling as your living option, it is important to remember that you are a student of the University of Dayton and a resident of the city in which you reside.  Therefore, you should know that the University's Student Code of Conduct and Standards of Behavior and the city’s ordinances will apply to you.  The information on the following pages is provided to help you make informed decisions about your housing options.
