Student Computer Program

Welcome to UD Student Computer Information. This is the location for information about the specific technology students are required to have for their academics.

All UD students are required to have a notebook computer that meets the academic hardware and software requirements of their major.

Requirements

As part of our technology-enhanced learning environment and student notebook computer initiative, students are required to have a notebook computer that meets certain hardware and software requirements determined by the academic areas.

Computer requirements vary depending on your major, so make sure to closely read what specifications are required for your academic program:

Nearly every major at the University has a preferred requirement for a traditional, Windows-based notebook computer. Download the minimum requirements for Windows-based notebooks. You may also download an explanation of why Windows is required for your major.

Students in the Department of Visual Arts (art education, art history, fine arts, photography, visual arts and visual communication design), Department of Music (music, music composition, music education, music performance and music therapy) and the art education program in the School of Education and Allied Professions should download minimum requirements specific to their major.
