The IT Training Department is a designated testing facility for two industry recognized certification programs - Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3) and Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS). The Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) certification demonstrates proficiency in the Microsoft Office 2007 suite of desktop applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Is there any cost to take certification exams?
Yes, to cover the expense of providing the certifications, UDit charges $75 per MCAS exam ($65 per exam for students). The cost breakdown is as follows: test cost + $10 administration fee.

When can I take certification exams?

How long does each test take?
You're allotted 45 minutes per test.
I've passed a test, does my certification ever "expire"?
Your certification won't expire, but as updated applications are released (like Office 2007), you'll probably want to get certified on the new versions.
What's the best way to prepare for certification exams?
UDit Training offers free practice exams that will give you a good idea of your strengths and weaknesses.
