General Meal Plan Information
Residence Hall Students
All students residing in a traditional residence hall (Marycrest, Founders, Stuart, V.W. Kettering and Marianist) are required to purchase a Meal Plan. Two different types of meal plans are available. Students may select either a structured plan ( Limited 15 or Limited 21) or a debit meal plan (Silver, Gold, or Platinum).
Meal plans can be used in our two a la carte dining rooms, located in Kennedy Union and Marycrest Complex; and in our two new restaurants, Passports and The Grainary, located in Virginia W. Kettering residence hall. They can also be used at the Emporium, our mini-grocery store with a full-service deli located in Marianist Hall, Stuart's Landing, a convenience store located in Stuart Complex, The Galley, our pretzel/ice cream/gourmet coffee shop located in Kennedy Union, The Jury Box a grab-n-go lunch box, located in Kellar Hall and The Chill, featuring smoothies and healthy snacks, located in the RecPlex.
Neighborhood Students
Students living in the apartment system or University houses may elect to purchase a Neighborhood Meal Plan. When using this plan the students receive an additional 10% for every $100 purchased.
Meal Plan Schedule
Structured Meal plans start with lunch the day before the first day of classes. Meal plans can be used until midnight at Marycrest Food Court and The Emporium, and until 1:30 am at The Grainary located in Virginia Kettering. (see Hours of Operation for a full list of times)
The Limited 15 and Limited 21 meal plans are reset every Monday morning. The Limited 15 and Limited 21 meal plans have a spending allowance associated with them when using our dining facilities. If you don't spend the entire allowance for that meal, you lose it. To cover purchases above the spending allowances, structured meal plan customers may open a University debit account called Flyer Express.
