The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work offers the Bachelor of Arts with a major in Criminal Justice and the Bachelor of Arts with a major in Sociology, as well as minors in Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, and Sociology. Our programs are multi-disciplinary and have a teaching-learning focus on community.

The mission of the department is the creation, transmission and application of knowledge concerning the relationship of individuals and groups with their social and cultural environment. We strive for the development of students who understand and engage with their communities and beyond through excellence in teaching, scholarship and service.
