Departments, Programs and Domains of Knowledge

As the largest academic unit at UD, we offer more than fifty undergraduate and graduate degree programs. While we are able to provide a wide range of programming in the arts, the humanities, the sciences and the social sciences, our educational philosophy continues to focus on personal attention and close faculty-student interaction.

Institutes and Centers

The institutes and centers of the College of Arts and Sciences provide cutting-edge technology, connect the campus with social justice issues and service opportunities, and prepare students for Catholic ministry in a variety of ways.

Endowed Chairs

The endowed chairs and professorships of the College of Arts and Sciences support both the undergraduate experience and graduate programs, in addition to the research mission of the College. For undergraduates, the endowed chairs and professors support integrated learning and scholarship in order to enrich the curriculum and promote undergraduate research. On the graduate level, several of the endowed chairs support the doctoral program in theology with its distinctive research focus on Catholicism as it is inculturated in multiple ways in the United States.
